Become a member

Club membership

Swindon Rowing Club welcomes new members of all abilities, providing you’ve already learnt to row. 


  • Children must be a minimum age of 12 years (accompanied - at least onshore - by a guardian).
  • Applicants must never have been excluded from the sport by British Rowing or its predecessor, the Amateur Rowing Association (ARA). 


We have a range of equipment available to both novice and seasoned rowers, sweepers and scullers. 


Membership fees are payable in one go or by monthly standing order.


Support for adaptive rowing

Membership types

  • Full £195 annually | £22 monthly
  • Junior / Student £130 annually | £14.50 monthly
  • Social / Parent / Cox £30 annually
  • Boat racking (single scull) £90 annually


Membership runs annually, paid in-full once a year or monthly.  Discounts are awarded on an individual basis and are at the discretion of the club committee.


  • A junior member is anyone under the age of 18. 
  • A student member is anyone aged 16+ in full-time education – please give proof of your current educational status.
  • Social/Parent membership is anyone who attends the club regularly to support the rowers and this membership protects them under club insurance for any incidents on club property. These members are not covered for use of equipment.
